Long dress to winter formal?
Okay so its a family tradition to wear a long white formal dress....and I want to keep it up ,but I feel like an idiot and I found 2 that I look AMAZING in but, everybody keeps telling me I'm going to look like a moron and even my date likes them but, would it be bad if I wore a long white dress to formal. Here is a picture of one of the dresses . It usually looks better but sitting on the counter and using a phone for a camera didn't work too well.

1) Long dresses are formal.
2) Short dresses (aka cocktail dresses) are NOT.
3) It looks beautiful.
4) You family has this tradition for a reason - because it looks great.
5) Who cares what "everybody" thinks? In this case they are wrong.
