its my first time entering a beauty pageant- what to they look for in a contestant?
hi- im 14 years of age and im a first-timer on a miss teen montana beauty pageant. it consists of a swimsuit and evening gown competition and has some sort of an interview with it- what do i need to do to get ready for it? what are somethings they look for? what do i need to win? what kind of questions do they ask in the interview? PLEASE!? TELL ALL!! Lol
Hi I am also 14. I have won lots of pageants and I love competing! The judges are looking for the "total package". They want a confident girl who will represent their pageant system in the most positive way. They want a girl that is confident and active in school and community activities. They also want a girl that is beautiful inside and out with a bright smile. They are looking for a genuine girl that is not a phony faker. In choosing your swimsuit, choose one that fits your body well. Choose a solid color with no prints or crazy accents to it. Dont let your suit take away and distract the judges from YOU. Practice walking in heels around you house all the time so that it is second nature and natural for you. The best choice of heels for swimwear are clear ones. Make sure your formal is age appropriate and not too revealing or low cut..choose a color that is good for you and practice wearing it..the most important thing is that you feel good when you are wearing your formal. This will give you confidence and it will show when you are on stage. When doing formal wear, walk slow and always maintain eye contact w/ the judges. I do NOT recommend blowing kisses at the judges. They find this cute when the contestant is 4 not 14. On your interview, the judges will typically ask about things off of your bio sheet so make sure you are familiar w/ it. My mom usually fills mine out, but I have to read it over to know what all she put on it. They also might ask why you feel you are the best contestant for the title. Always make sure the judges can view you as a positive role model. Good luck to you!!!
