What kind of coat should I use with a cocktail dress?
I live in a cold little town without malls…so shopping to see what works is out of the question.
The event is a dinner/auction.
Because of where we live anything goes. The guys come in jeans and sweaters while some of the ladies go all out (the one time of year when there is an event (if that) so they tend to go a bit crazy). I am 25ish and I like the knee length, sexy but not too sexy type of cocktail dress. I haven’t picked out the dress yet, but I have never known what kind of coat to use; It seems like a wrap would be too formal and everything else isn’t quite nice enough.
You could try a pashmina with a fringe, they are a bit more casual than a wrap. Otherwise you could try a bolero jacket. anything really that sort of matches and that you feel comfy in. hope this helps!
